Delete your FactSift account
In the app
- Open FactSift and go to the Account tab.
- Under Privacy, tap Delete account. It appears when you are signed in with Google.
- Tap Delete to confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.
If you never signed in, your data belongs to an anonymous account on your phone. Use Delete my data in the same place, then uninstall the app.
Without the app
Email contact@oliosoft.com from the Google account you signed in with, with the subject "Delete my FactSift account". We'll delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.
What is deleted
- Your account and Google sign-in link
- Your check history, results and reports
- Screenshots you added
- Your credits, the Remove ads purchase and your notification token
What is kept
- Per-phone daily counts of free checks and rewarded ads. They hold no personal data and stop deleting an account from resetting free checks. They only matter for the current day.
- Usage records of each check's processing cost, unlinked from you, for our accounts.
- Cached results of text posts, which aren't linked to any account.
- Google Play's purchase records, which Google keeps under its own policy.
Delete your data but keep your account
You can delete your check history without closing your account or losing credits:
- Open FactSift and go to the Account tab.
- Under Privacy, tap Delete my data, then Delete.
This deletes your checks and their results, your reports and the screenshots you added, straight away. Your account, credits, the Remove ads purchase and the per-phone daily counts are kept. Without the app, email contact@oliosoft.com with the subject "Delete my FactSift data" and we'll do it within 30 days.
